Greetings David, and welcome to planDisney!
I am so excited that you are planning your first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort soon. You have chosen the best time for your first visit during the 50th Anniversary Celebration. There are several new experiences that you must see during your visit, including
Disney Enchantment. This nighttime spectacular combines amazing pyrotechnics and Disney Character projections on Cinderella Castle and Main Street U.S.A. set to the music of your favorite Disney movies. This is the perfect way to end a perfect day at the Magic Kingdom.
There are several ways to access your theme park tickets at the Main Entrance gates. You can take your printed email confirmation to any Guest Relations window near the Main Entrance to any theme park, with your photo ID and they will give you an “admission card” for each person in your party. However, this takes some time and depending on when you arrive, lines could belong at Guest Relations.
If you are a guest of a Disney Resorts Collection hotel during your visit, you can order
MagicBands for everyone in your group at the pre-arrival discounted price. When your MagicBands arrive, they will be linked to everyone’s individual My Disney Experience accounts. You can use them instead of the cards by tapping them to the “TouchPoints” at the Main Entrance gates. If you are staying off-site, you can still purchase a MagicBand at shopDisney.com or select retail shops in Disney Springs.
The most fun way to access your admission tickets is by setting up the
Disney MobileMagic pass. This can be used by any Guest that has an iPhone or Android device with Google Pay. Begin by downloading the
My Disney Experience Mobile app to your smartphone and sign in using your My Disney Experience credentials. While on the “Home” screen tap the 3 horizontal lines in the lower right corner. Next, tap the “Disney MagicMobile” button to find guests from your “
My Family & Friends” list. Tap the “+” sign in the top right corner to see a list of Guests who need a pass. Select the members of your party that need a pass. You can change the pass style icon if you wish. Then save to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay. If someone in your Family & Friends list has their own My Disney Experience account that they manage themselves, it’s best to let them create their pass. Once the pass has been saved, you can share it via text with the person you created it for. This will allow you to use your smartphone to enter the parks.
Remember, each Guest must have a valid admission ticket and a
Disney Park Pass reservation for each theme park they plan to visit each day. If you have not made your reservations yet. I recommend making them as soon as possible. Each theme park has limited availability and you will not be admitted without a park pass reservation.
I hope this helps with your planning. If you have any questions about making advanced dining reservations or other experiences during the
50th Anniversary Celebration, please ask me. I would be happy to help.
See ya real soon,
Andrea
