Hey there Iryna,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for your question. It looks like your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth is coming up in just a few weeks - woohoo! Have you started counting down the days yet?
Typically, when you purchase
standard tickets from the Disneyland Resort website, they'll grant you the ability to make a theme park reservation to visit one park on an available date. You do need both valid theme park tickets as well as
theme park reservations for each day you plan to visit the Disneyland Resort.
However, there is an option to add the
Park Hopper option to your tickets, which I'm a huge fan of! With the Park Hopper option, you're able to set your theme park reservation for the park you want to start your day in, but then you can hop between both parks starting at 11:00 AM through park closing! It adds so much convenience to a visit.
I typically pair this with purchasing
Lightning Lane Multi Pass so that we can reserve Lightning Lane return times (which are shorter queues for some of the most popular attractions) between both parks after 11:00 AM. It's a quick walk across the main esplanade between parks, so it's usually pretty easy to get back and forth for attractions, dining, or entertainment that you're hoping to catch.
If you'd like to get that Park Hopper option added, you can
call a Cast Member at the Tickets line who should be able to verify that your tickets are upgradeable, and if so then will be able to add the option and let you know how to pay the difference. For the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you'll need to wait to add that through the
Disneyland Resort mobile app after you scan your ticket on the first day of your visit. Look for the banner near the top of the home page to get this added!
Thanks again for your question, Iryna! I hope you have so much fun at the Happiest Place on Earth.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
