I bought tickets to 2 nights of WDW MNSSHP & had them mailed to my house because I thought the special event tickets would be halloween themed but they're not. Are they no longer doing this?

Happy Haunts, Michelle, and welcome to planDisney.

It’s haunting to hear from you today, and in a few short months, both you and I will be enjoying this spooktacular event! I’m so excited for my October visit, and I cannot wait to trick-or-treat throughout the park. I think that’s my favorite park, bringing home all those treats and even storing some in my park bag as snacks in between delicious Disney meals. TIP: Bring an extra bag to store your sweets and snacks and save room in your suitcase!

I’m very similar to Princess Ariel in terms of having a collection of store Disney artifacts. Things like tickets, receipts, maps, and anything that helps me remember a trip are stored in my tote. I flipped through for my 2019 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party ticket and also noticed that that ticket was not themed either. I’m not sure when the switch happened, but the experience is still just as Spelltacular as ever! If you’re a collector of things like I am, just hang on to your party wristband; that’s what I do. I also like to write the date on the back of mine to preserve the memory even more. I wish you could see my collection, I think you would say, ‘my collection's complete’.

If you are looking to add some extra haunts to this visit, I recommend checking the Disney Store online closer to the spooky season for a Halloween-themed MagicBand. Sometimes, there are even party-exclusive keepsakes, so you could wait until the event to see if there’s a MagicBand offered during the party that’s exclusive to this year. Both make great souvenirs that can be used year after year, even if it is Halloween-themed.

Another option you have to add that extra sparkle of cobwebs to your ticket is linking them to your My Disney Experience account and selecting a ticket design through Disney MagicMobile. My husband uses this feature for his visits, and he’s constantly changing the design of his ticket that’s stored in his mobile wallet. It’s just another fun way to express yourself, give it a whirl!

Michelle, I can’t wait for you to enjoy this party. If you’re planning on dressing up, I recommend reading through the costume guidelines before planning the perfect outfit! Have a chill-ing good time.

    Boo, to you!
