Hi, we bought 2019 tickets for my niece when she was nine years old. We didn’t get to go 2020 and we want to go this year. Will we have to upgrade her tickets to an adult since she’s 11yrs old now?

    Hi there, Cindy!

Thank you for visiting planDisney with your question about theme park tickets. I’m so glad to hear you want to plan a magical vacation this year. Your niece is one lucky girl!

Yes, all Guests who are 10 and older do need a different type of ticket than those for little ones ages 3 to 9. The good news is that if the child-priced ticket you purchased for her previously was never used for park entry, you can use the amount you paid originally as credit toward a new ticket once sales have resumed. I suggest linking all the tickets to your Disney account on Disneyland.com or the Disneyland Mobile App so you’ll be ready to make a theme park reservation using the new online system that recently launched.

I hope this helps you plan, Cindy. Please send us any other pixie-dusted planning questions you may have as your Disneyland Resort family vacation approaches!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
