Hi there, Tracey, and welcome to planDisney! I'm thrilled to hear you've taken another step in preparing for your trip to the Disneyland Resort in September.
This is a great question - as this can be confusing. You are absolutely welcome to change the name on the ticket, but know that you don't need to in order to get access to the parks. When you arrive and scan your tickets for the first time, they will take a picture of each member of your party that is then associated with their individual ticket. This is what they use for access, and not the names associated with the tickets in your
Disneyland mobile app.
The names in your Disneyland mobile app are more to help you keep them organized. This is especially helpful if your group is planning on splitting up at all, so you know which ticket belongs to whom.
If you'd still like to change the name on your tickets, you can call a Cast Member at the
Tickets line. They can get it changed for you!
One other thing I always like to confirm when answering questions about tickets is making sure you've also made your
theme park reservations for each day of your trip? You typically do this when purchasing your tickets through the
Disneyland website, but I still like to confirm!
You all are going to have such a fun trip to the Happiest Place on Earth, Tracey! As you continue to plan your trip, please feel free to
write me back directly if you think of any follow-up questions. I'd love to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
