Just bought tickets for MNSSHP! We’ve never been and my 18 and 16 year olds don’t want to go in costume the 1 year old will be dressed up, are costumes necessary or can we just enjoy the party as ourselves?

Hello, dear Michelle! Welcome BACK to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You're going to love Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! It's my favorite seasonal party at Magic Kingdom Park! I can still recall how the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular impressed me the first time I watched it. If you're a fan of the Sanderson Sisters, you're going to love it. The spell is REAL!

While my husband and I love the party, we never wore costumes. We usually wear themed t-shirts, for example. Some families don't wear costumes and some go above and beyond, but every Guest can have a blast!

I'm sure you and your kids will have a fangtastic night in August, Michelle! One of the best tips I can share is to take small backpacks to keep your Trick or Treat bounty. The bags can get really heavy after a few hours!

If you have more questions before August is here, please don't hesitate to come back for more advice. We LOVE to help old friends!

May the magic be with you,

    Julie
