Hello, Bruce! Welcome to planDisney. We are thrilled you decided to stop by to ask us a question about your upcoming visit to Disneyland Resort.
I'm glad to hear you have your tickets purchased for your visit. If you purchased your tickets from the
Disneyland website, hopefully, that means you also picked your dates and starting parks during that process. If so, you should also have your
theme park ticket reservations booked as well. Tickets and reservations are required for entry into the parks. When you purchased your tickets, you should have received an email with your ticket information along with that confirmation number. That email should have given you a link to your tickets with barcodes or at least ticket ID numbers. This is what will be needed to scan into the park. If you cannot find the email with the tickets, you can contact
Ticket Services and a Cast Member will be able to assist you with that confirmation number.
If you have the barcodes or ticket ID numbers, I suggest you download the
Disneyland app and then link those tickets to your Disney account in the Disneyland app. The Disneyland app is a very helpful tool for your visit, not only to scan into the parks. The app allows you to use the Disney Genie+ service, have the maps of the parks handy with wait times, mobile order food, and more. Once you have those tickets linked, you will also be able to double-check to see if you have reservations by heading to "My Future Plans" in the app. This will show any upcoming reservations for the tickets that are linked.
When you scan your tickets into the parks for the first time, they usually also give you a printed paper ticket if you prefer to use that.
Bruce, I hope this helps you prepare for your visit. Please come back and visit us again if you have any other questions for us! See you real soon!
Carrie
