I bought tickets on line through AAA and have them linked to My disney experience How to I get the wrist bands for my party? Also, Can individuals in my party make their own lighting pass times for the rides rather than we all stay together?

Hello Bonnie, and thank you for stopping by planDisney with your question.

I am so excited to hear that you will be enjoying the World’s Most Magical Celebration soon. Now is the time to put those finishing touches on your vacation plans. Now that everyone’s tickets are linked to a My Disney Experience account, a MagicBand will access all of your vacation plans with a single tap.

If you have a reservation at a select Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can order a discounted MagicBand at pre-arrival prices, by selecting the “My MagicBands and Cards" tab online in My Dinsey Experience. You will be prompted to choose a design for each Guest on your reservation and you can label each MagicBand with a name or nickname. Orders must be completed 10 days before your arrival.

If you are not staying on property, you can order a MagicBand online at shopDisney.com. There are hundreds of designs to choose from. You can choose your favorite characters, movie, or even theme park attraction or special event. Once these MagicBands arrive, you must link them to your My Disney Experience account for each person. Remember, once a MagicBand is linked to a Guest, it cannot be unlinked or transferred. You can also purchase MagicBands once you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort at select retail locations in Disney Theme Parks or shops in Disney Springs. These MagicBands will also need to be manually linked to each member of your travel party. Once they are linked, you will be all set.

Bonnie, I am happy to tell you that everyone in your travel party can make their own Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane attractions. Using the My Disney Experience mobile app, you can make reservations for one person or the entire group. I recommend that you book any experiences that you want to do together, early in the day. I have found that once my family members split up to explore the parks on their own, it can be difficult to coordinate a Genie+ time together for later in the day.

Don’t forget that everyone needs a Theme Park Pass reservation for each park you plan to visit each day. I hope this helps with your planning. If you need any more assistance before you arrive, please ask me. I would be happy to help you with the rest of your plans.

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
