Hiya, Luiz Augusto! Welcome to
planDisney, where our goal is to help our fellow Disney-loving Guests plan enchanting vacations. I'm so happy to see that you decided to stop by here with your question!
I'm sorry to hear that you had to cancel your original plans to visit the
Walt Disney World Resort in 2020, but I'm also happy to announce that you will not lose the value of the tickets that you purchased back then. However, please note that you will not be able to use the actual tickets that you purchased. Let me explain!
According to the
Walt Disney World Resort Reopening Updates, any date-specific Theme Park tickets purchased through June 6, 2020 with a valid use period beginning March 12, 2020 or later were automatically extended to use by any date through September 26, 2021. Since it's already past that time, this grace period has expired and your Theme Park tickets are no longer valid for use at the Resort.
On that note, please don't let my words discourage you. There is actually a light at the end of the tunnel...I promise! In your case, and since you were not able to visit the Walt Disney World Resort before September 26, 2021, you are eligible to apply the entire value of your tickets toward the purchase of new tickets. Of course, this means that you will need to pay any price difference between the original tickets and the new ones, keeping in mind that your child's original ticket value will be applied toward the purchase of a new adult ticket.
In order for you to get this done, I would advise you to
speak to a Cast Member at (11) 4700-2835 or through the chat box found within the My Disney Experience mobile app. If you have any other questions in English
or in Portuguese, please don't hesitate to come right back so we may assist you further!
Tenha um dia mágico!
Ana Paula
