Hello Sandra!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney and asking a great question! It sounds like you are planning some exciting days at Walt Disney World in the theme parks and water parks!
If you purchase the Water Park and Sports Option or the Park Hopper Plus Option on your
Walt Disney World tickets, you can have a certain number of visits to a Water Park or other Walt Disney World fun. At Walt Disney World, a water park is not considered a theme park but an extra option that can be used on a separate day or the same day as a visit to a theme park. For example, a 5-day ticket will entitle you to five theme park days and five options, such as a water park. So you can choose to use an option to enjoy a water park for an entire day without using one of your theme park tickets, or you can go to a water park and a theme park on the same day. I recommend using your water park option on a separate day from your theme park visit to maximize your time in the theme parks.
You do not need to make a theme park reservation for a water park, but you currently need to make a
theme park reservation for each of your theme park days. So you can go to the water park if it is open on that particular day and you have a ticket that has water park options on it.
I hope that your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation is magical!
