I bought tickets for a group of 7 using my account. They all appear in My Disney Experience App. Would it be more efficient to split the group and transfer some of the tickets to another family member?

Hi there James, wishing you a very warm Canadian welcome to planDisney!

As a fellow Ontarian, I'm glad that you'll soon be able to escape the snow as you make your way to Florida for some warmer weather on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Like Snow White's Seven Dwarfs, I bet everyone in your group of seven is looking forward to it in their own ways. My husband and I recently invited several friends and family members down and had a similar question come up, so I'm glad to be able to answer it for you!

Depending on your group dynamic, it may be easiest to keep all of the tickets on one My Disney Experience mobile app to avoid any issues with someone forgetting their devices, running low on battery or forgetting any physical admission media like wristbands or cards. When we chose to do this, it did take a little bit of extra time at the turnstiles as we swiped between barcodes using the Disney MagicMobile Service to scan in. We also encountered this whenever we had to scan in for things like Lightning Lane entrances and ended up requesting physical cards at Guest Relations for various members of our group who wanted to branch off on their own. In my opinion, this might be a good idea as a backup, while having the peace of mind that you have them all safe with you just in case.

I always recommend to groups traveling with any tickets split up between them to be sure to Link their tickets and create a Family and Friends list that each person with a My Disney Experience app can access. This is very helpful in planning to do certain activities together like entering a Virtual Queue as a group which is required for a ride like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

However you choose to venture forward - whether you all unite under one leader or divide and conquer, I wish you a fantastic trip this month! Feel free to come back to planDisney to ask me anything else that can help you along the way.

Wishing you a trip for all seven of you that will keep you Happy as you leave behind any cold Sneezy winter weather, not too Bashful when you meet characters, not too Grumpy if you encounter a long line, feeling Dopey after a spinning ride and leave you Sleepy at the end of each exciting day under the watchful eye of your Doc-like leadership!
