Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Cynthia!
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a SPOOKTACULAR event you won't want to miss! To attend the special event at Magic Kingdom Park, you will need to purchase party tickets - which are separate from regular admission. If you enter Magic Kingdom Park at 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon, you will be using park admission tickets. But, if you wish to stay for the party, which officially begins at 7:00 p.m., then you will have to purchase party tickets too. In other words, you would need two types of tickets: regular admission to the park and tickets for the party too.
On event nights, Magic Kingdom Park closes to regular-ticket holders at 7:00 p.m. Then, Cast Members begin to check if Guests walking around the park are wearing wristbands for the special event. If not, then they are graciously escorted to the park's exit, or given the option to purchase tickets for the special event. Incidentally, it's not possible to enter Magic Kingdom Park at 2:00 p.m. with just party tickets. Instead, I recommend arriving late afternoon, or early evening.
My family and I typically spend the day relaxing at our beautiful
Disney Resort hotel on party nights. We generally don't visit any of the theme parks during the day. That way, we can apply those extra theme park admission entitlements to another day at the parks. This strategy also gives us plenty of time to get dressed in some
fun costumes before heading to the party.
I hope you found this information useful, Cynthia. Please come back soon with more Disney vacation planning questions!
