Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it’s off to
planDisney you go, Kathy!
I’m so excited for your family to visit the
Happiest Place on Earth in just a few short weeks! You’re going to love the cosmic powers of
Disney Genie+ Service, which is the best handy helper in the parks! I recently used it with my daughter and our friends, and it saved us so much time during our Disney day!
Disney Genie+ can be added to your tickets in two different ways -- either as part of your
ticket purchase on Disneyland.com, or on a daily basis on the
Disneyland app, as soon as you enter one of the theme parks. So, since you already purchased your theme park tickets, you'll need to wait until you’ve entered
Disneyland Park or
Disney California Adventure Park to add Genie+ to your tickets. You’ll need to add it each day of your vacation upon entering one of the theme parks.
To help you get started, you’ll want to make sure you have the Disneyland app downloaded on your mobile device. As soon as your tickets are scanned in to either theme park, open your app, and tap on the three lines in the lower right corner. Select “My Genie Day” and look for “Get Disney Genie+ for Today.” Now, tap “Get Disney Genie+ Service,” and you’ll be prompted to select which tickets are eligible to add Genie+ for that day. Simply select the tickets you’d like to add the service to, and you’re all set!
Once the transaction is complete, you can go ahead and book your first Lightning Lane. You’ll be able to choose from about 19 attractions between the two theme parks, if you have Park Hopper tickets. Just keep in mind that you won’t be able to “hop” to the other park until after 1:00 PM. Also, there are currently three attractions not included in Genie+, including
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, and Radiator Springs Racers. These attractions can be purchased as Individual Lightning Lanes, and you can purchase up to two of them per day.
Now, for one of my favorite perks of Disney Genie+ -- did you know that it also includes unlimited downloads of your
Disney PhotoPass photos? Keep an eye out for PhotoPass opportunities on select attractions and at dining locations, too.
Last but not least, here’s the
Entertainment Schedule for your arrival day, so you can start mapping out your magical plans. I hope this information helps you make the most of your Disneyland Resort getaway, Kathy!
See ya’ real soon,
Kristin
