Hi Michelle! Welcome to planDisney!
Thank you for your great question. I'm sorry to hear your friend can no longer make your upcoming visit to Disneyland Resort, but what a generous gift for your husband!
You're right that the name on a Disneyland Resort theme park ticket doesn't matter too much until after the Guest's picture is taken at the park entrance where the ticket will then be officially linked to that Guest. If your tickets are wholly unused, and it'll make you feel better, you may reach out to Guest Services beforehand to change the names either by
giving the Tickets line a call or initiating a chat from the
"Help" page on the Disneyland website. The help chat box hovers on the right-hand side of your screen and is a great resource to connect with a friendly Cast Member who can assist you.
Remember, you can also change your park reservation dates at any time, Michelle, if another date works better for the members of your party and if there's availability. You can do this in either the
Disneyland app (from the ☰, select "Park Reservations" under Plan My Next Visit) or on the
Disneyland website.
I'm so thrilled for you and your upcoming visit to the Happiest Place on Earth during the most magical time of year, Michelle! If you find yourself around "it's a small world" in the evening, you must know about the magical
"it's a small world" holiday lighting that occurs every night during the holidays. It's one of my favorite things at the Disneyland Resort! Schedules are subject to change but definitely keep your eye on the
Daily Events Schedule for show times because I think you'll love it! Or consider taking a nighttime ride on the Disneyland Railroad to take in all the dazzling lights! It's so magical!
If any other questions come up in your planning, Michelle, like how to maximize the magic or where to find my
favorite seasonal treats (spoiler alert, it's the Mickey Gingerbread), please don't hesitate to reach out again! You've got a friend in me.
Warmest wishes,
McCayla
