Greetings, Rosalia, and welcome to planDisney! I always enjoy helping my fellow Californians, so let’s get started!
First off, I’m so sorry you haven’t been able to use your
Disneyland Resort theme-park tickets since you purchased them in April. I understand just how frustrating this must be! Like you, I have been mourning the
temporary closure of the theme parks. And, like you, I’ve also been thinking about experiencing Disney magic at the
Walt Disney World Resort while we wait for Disneyland Resort to reopen. In fact, I’m heading there this month! Unfortunately, your
Disneyland Resort theme-park tickets can’t be refunded, and can’t be applied toward the purchase of Walt Disney World theme-park tickets at this time. However, I do have some good news! Your tickets will retain their value for the amount you initially paid for them. So, once the parks reopen and you’re able to reschedule your trip, you’ll be able to bring your ticket information and have the value applied toward your new ticket purchase. You can also call our Guest Information Ticket Sales and Service Team at (714) 781-4636 and a Cast Member will be happy to help you with any additional questions.
Once the parks do reopen, keep in mind that reservations will be required. I recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog,
Disneyland.com, and the
Disneyland app for all the latest updates and information.
Even though the Disneyland Resort theme parks and Resort Hotels are currently closed, I’m happy to report that the Resort has begun a phased reopening, and
Downtown Disney District is currently open! In addition,
starting November 19, even more Disney dining and shopping opportunities will become available when Downtown Disney District extends to
Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure Park! I can’t wait to return to the magic of my happy place, even if we can’t ride our favorite attractions just yet!
If you have any more questions as you plan your Walt Disney World Resort getaway, please stop back at planDisney, and we’d be more than happy to help you!
Wishing you pixie-dusted adventures, Rosalia!
