Hey there, Laura, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by the panel with your question! Asking questions about Theme Park Tickets can only mean one thing: you have a Walt Disney World Vacation approaching! Now is a fantastic time to visit the parks, so let’s see if we can get you one step closer.
Laura, according to
Walt Disney World Ticket Usage Guidelines, 1-day Theme Park Tickets are only valid for the selected start date. So if you do not use the Theme Park Ticket on the selected day, it will not be available for use on a subsequent day. However, if you know far enough in advance that your vacation plans will change, you may be able to move the start date for your Theme Park Ticket. You can quickly check your
My Disney Experience Account to see if you are able to edit your Theme Park Ticket start date. Navigate to the Theme Park Tickets you would like to edit and choose the option to “Change” — now you should be able to modify the tickets. Walt Disney World uses date-based pricing for Theme Park Tickets so keep in mind that if there is a difference in price between your original tickets and the new dates you’d like to purchase, you will be prompted to pay the difference at checkout. And since Guests are currently required to have valid theme park tickets and Disney Park Pass reservations to enter the Theme Parks, be sure to cancel your old park reservations and make new reservations after you select your new arrival date. Finally, if none of these meet your needs, I suggest contacting an
Existing Tickets Cast Member to determine the options available to you.
I hope this helps, Laura! If you have more questions while planning your Disney Vacation,
stop back by and let me know!
You’ve got a friend in me,
