I bought tickets for an available day to park hop with my friends and went to make a reservation and it’s not letting me. If I’m buying a ticket for a day shouldn’t that be my reservation? Why is it letting me buy tickets for a day full? What do I do?

    Hello Tianna,

Thanks so much for coming to see us at planDisney.

I say there's nothing quite as magical as spending a day with friends at "The Happiest Place on Earth."

I'm sorry to hear you're running into an issue with making your theme park reservations. It could be that the best suggestion is to give a call to the Disneyland Resort Website Support team at (714) 520-6222 to speak with a Cast Member to help you with the issue. Another option could be to contact a Cast Member for some technical support using the "Chat with Us" feature in the Disneyland Resort mobile app.

I have a thought that I want to share, though, and I am hoping it will be helpful.

When you purchase new theme park tickets using the online Theme Park Tickets & Reservations features, or using the "Select Tickets" feature in the Disneyland Resort mobile app, you are actually doing two things at the same time: buying theme park tickets and making theme park reservations.

When you bought your theme park tickets, do you recall a step where you were prompted to "Reserve Your Ticket Date" and select a date or dates from a calendar? Do you recall a step where you were prompted to "Select Your Starting Park" and choose either Disney California Adventure Park or Disneyland Park based on which park had reservations available?

I know these questions are a bit rhetorical because you can't actually reply to me. I ask the questions simply to point out that the Theme Park Tickets & Reservations process makes a theme park reservation for you when you purchase a ticket. This combined process of purchasing tickets and making reservations in the same set of steps was introduced in May as a convenience to Guests to make planning a visit to the theme parks easier.

One quick way to check your theme park reservations is to look at your "My Theme Park Reservations" information in your Disneyland account. You can also see your theme park reservations displayed in your  Disneyland Resort mobile app.

Tianna, I'm hopeful that perhaps in your case you actually purchased a theme park ticket and made a theme park reservation at the same time.

I'll also share, just to mention, that the Theme Park Tickets & Reservations process does allow an option for Guests who already purchased tickets previously to make theme park reservations for those tickets.

Tianna, here's wishing you lots of wonderful fun with your friends at the Disneyland Resort!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
