We bought our tickets for an April 2020 trip which got rebooked for March-April 2021. My son was 9 at the time but is now 10. Will the ticket assigned to him still work or will I need to pay a difference in fee for the child v. adult ticket?

Hi there, Blythe, and welcome to planDisney! You’ve come to the right place with your question, and we are so happy to have you!

As many have experienced, it seems that you have had to reschedule a Disney vacation due to recent events. Luckily, your next trip is just on the horizon! Child Tickets are indeed valid for children up to age 9, after which they technically need an adult ticket for entrance. Of course, proof of age is technically not expected upon entry, though honesty is always the best policy! Your son’s Ticket can easily be modified by contacting Disney Ticket Services and explaining your situation.

Blythe, do you have your Disney Park Pass reservations ready for your trip? Each member of your travel party needs a reservation for each day you wish to visit the Theme Parks. Also, I recommend that you check out the Experience Updates pages before your trip, if you haven’t already, where you can see all the details of the newest policies and procedures. Lastly, be certain to update your My Disney Experience Mobile App for the best experience! This will allow you to see Park Maps on the go and utilize Mobile Ordering and other wonderful features!

I hope that this information helps you get everything set before your trip. Please know that it is always our pleasure to help with any aspect of your vacation, so do come back and see us again soon!

    Wishing you many magical memories!
