Kevin from NC Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I have bought tickets for the adults in my group but I have my granddaughter also going with me. She is just about to turn 1. I don't see a way to add her to my group. I know she doesn't need a ticket but should she show in my group? Thanks.

Oh, happiest birthday wishes for your littlest Mouseketeer, Kevin! "Just about to turn one" is such an magical time. I know you must be getting so excited about enjoying the Most Magical Place on Earth with the most magical people in your life.

You know Disney is all about family. 'Ohana! No one gets left behind or forgotten. Even though your granddaughter does not need a ticket, you can still create a MyDisney profile for her and have her appear in your group. To do this, open "My Friends & Family" and select "+ Add a Guest" at the top of the screen. Select "Create a New Guest," "Under 13," and enter your granddaughter's name and date of birth. This will create a profile that you manage. You can also pick a character for her profile. Our Fab 5 Pals, princesses, superheroes... there are so many fun choices. Luckily, you can change these easily as your mood and inspiration changes.

One important note: accounts for children cannot be transferred to another adult. Her parents may want to create her account, so when she is 3 years old and has a ticket or wants a MagicBand+ (which she may ask for before she turns three because why miss out on this bit of magic?), these can be added to her account and managed by them. Until she needs a ticket or MagicBand+, she doesn't really need a profile for any functionality that I can think of, but like a MagicBand+, there is a squiggly line between "need" and "want."

Since you are visiting Walt Disney World Resort with a little one, I'd like to share some great resources. Did you know you can see a list of attractions perfect for all ages? You can also see attractions on the MyDisney Experience app and look for ones labeled "Any Height." You wouldn't want to miss Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, thinking it's only for older kids. Leave no toy behind!

You can also take a look at the Planning Guide for Parents of Preschoolers & Small Children for all the ideas on making your vacation magical with little ones. And as my friend Jennifer says, "Baby Care Centers are not just for babies." Yes, they have diaper changing stations and nursing rooms, but they also have quieter spaces to sit and enjoy a bit of a break when you just need to recharge.

I hope you have a trip that is sprinkled with Pixie Dust and memories for a lifetime! If you have any other questions, you know you have a friend in planDisney.

    To Infinity and Beyond!
