I’m so glad you are looking into upgrading to “a whole new world” of fun at the Disneyland Resort with the
Disney Genie+ service. I’ve loved using this service for its convenient access to the Lightning Lane entrance to many attractions as well as the complimentary
Disney PhotoPass downloads. Let’s talk about what it will take to get you on that magic carpet. “Do you trust me?”
First, let’s talk about your mode of transportation. So what’s it going to be? Camel? No, they spit. Elephant? Nah, Abu ditched the trunk space long ago. Hmm… automobile? YES! But where to park? Ah, yes! There are lots of options at the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure and
Pixar Pals Parking Structure. Or you can choose my favorite
theme park parking option: the Toy Story Parking area. If you would like to pre-purchase your parking, you may do so from the
parking purchase page of the Disneyland website. And, yes, you may purchase parking separate from
theme park tickets.
Next, let’s talk about that Genie+ service. There are two ways to purchase the Genie+ entitlement for your theme park ticket. The first way is to add it on at the time you purchase your ticket. If you didn’t already purchase Genie+ with your ticket, you will have another chance on the day you visit the theme parks. After you have scanned your ticket at the park entrance, you may purchase Genie+ by tapping “Get Disney Genie+ for Today” in the
Disneyland app. If you have a multi-day ticket, you will need to go through this process for each day that you wish to purchase the service. And don’t worry, whether you purchased Genie+ at the same time as your ticket or on each day you visit the parks, the total price is the same.
