    If we bought a ticket an we are trying to move dates but says we can't on the Disney calendar what do we do

    Hi Andrew! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.

    Currently, you need both a valid admission ticket and a theme park reservation to enter the parks. I checked your preferred date and it looks like there is still theme park reservation availability for both parks. Of course, availability can change quickly and is not guaranteed. It is possible on popular days for your preferred park or both parks to fill up. I know that's disappointing! Hopefully, that's not the case this time.

    I can walk you through how to modify your existing reservation, so hopefully you can switch! When you purchased your admission ticket, you were asked for your preferred date and park. If you selected Park Hopper, you selected the park you'd like to start your day in. This is your existing theme park reservation, which you can see by signing into your Disneyland Resort account, hovering over "My Disneyland" on the homepage, selecting "Ticket and Reservation Details" from the dropdown menu, and clicking "Make or Modify Park Reservations" on the next page. This should bring up your confirmed theme park reservation. It's also the page where you can begin to modify your theme park reservation to your new preferred date and park if there is availability.

    You can't book a new reservation without either modifying the existing one or canceling and booking a new reservation. This is probably why you weren't seeing availability: You were attempting to create a new reservation while already having one tied to your admission ticket. You can't make more reservations than you have days on your admission ticket.

    Did you add Disney's Genie+ Service when you purchased your tickets? It allows Guests to spend less time in queues and more time focused on the fun. It's my family's favorite option. If you didn't buy it in advance, you typically can add it after scanning into the parks for the day. You should see the button to "Purchase" at the top of the Disneyland mobile app homepage. Tap to begin the transaction. Select all the members of your party to book Lightning Lane Entrance return times together. Plus, at this time Disney PhotoPass downloads are complimentary for Guests with Genie+. That's such a great value!
