Greetings Tanya!
Thanks for dropping by and welcome to planDisney!
I am so pleased that you are already aware that you are required to make a
Theme Park Reservation because you purchased your tickets through an authorized third-party supplier. Availability can vary from day to day as people modify or cancel their plans. I recommend checking the
Availablity Calendar often. In some cases, I’ve even seen Guests obtain a same-day reservation. Keep checking and you may have luck securing your desired date.
If you are unsuccessful, I encourage you to stay flexible with your plans. Perhaps you can visit the theme park the day before or after your daughter’s actual birthday and do another fun activity on January 9. May I recommend a character meal outside of the park? I recently enjoyed breakfast at
Goofy’s Kitchen. The meal was delicious and the character interactions were so much fun. The restaurant is located in the
Disneyland Hotel. Therefore, you do not need a theme park reservation to enjoy a meal there. You can make a dining reservation through the
Disneyland Resort App or via the Disneyland
website.
Also, don’t forget to grab a complimentary birthday button for your daughter. They are available at
Guest Relations inside the theme parks or from the front desk at any of the Disneyland Resort Hotels.
Enjoy your magical celebration at “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
