I bought a ticket for September 24 and some circumstances came up can I change the date

    Hi there, Merry,

Thank you for visiting us here at planDisney. I hope everything is OK with you and that the change of plans is just the usual “life happens” sort of thing.

The answer to your question depends on the type of ticket you have. If you have a special event ticket, such as for Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party, then unfortunately, it cannot be modified and is only valid for the date purchased. If that is the case for you, then I hope that either the situation changes so that you can still go to the party and enjoy it yourself or that you can find a friend or family member that you can give the ticket to and have them go in your stead.

If your ticket is a regular theme park ticket, you may modify your existing theme park reservation. As long as there are still park reservations available, and your ticket is still valid, you can start by visiting My Plans found under the My Disneyland menu on the Disneyland Resort website. To make modifications to an existing park reservation, open the Manage Reservation link from your My Plans page. Then use the “Modify Reservation” link to make the changes you need.

New reservations for regular theme park tickets may be booked for available dates up to 120 days in advance and up until the expiration date of your theme park ticket. If you have a three-day Summer 2023 California Resident Ticket, the expiration date is September 28, 2023. For other theme park tickets, you can find your ticket expiration date in your ticket purchase confirmation email. But what if you can’t use your ticket before it expires? If your regular, non-event park ticket is expired but still wholly unused (that is, you haven’t used any days of a multi-day ticket, or you haven’t used a one-day ticket at all) then you may take it to a main entrance ticket booth at the Disneyland Resort to upgrade it to a new park ticket of equal or greater value.

Thanks for the question for us here at planDisney, Merry. We’d be happy to help with other Disneyland Resort planning you may need to do. Feel free to submit another question if we can be of assistance.

    TTFN, Merry! Ta-ta for now!
