I bought a ticket but that person can no longer go. What can I do?

Hi there, Nathalia! Thanks so much for reaching out to us here at planDisney. I can see that we are just a few short days away from your visit, so let's get right to your question!

The good news is that your purchased ticket has quite a bit of magic! While theme park tickets are non-refundable, the Disneyland Resort understands that plans change and offers Guests a lot of flexibility when it comes to finding a time to visit the Happiest Place on Earth. If you purchased a single-day ticket, you have until December 30, 2023 before it expires. If you purchased a multi-day ticket, you have until January 12, 2024! Even if you assigned a name to the ticket initially, no worries. The ticket isn't officially assigned to a specific Guest until you scan into the Main Entrance Gates for the first time and it becomes activated. At that point, the Cast Member will take a photo of the Guest and the ticket becomes nontransferable. This means, that you could use the ticket yourself for another visit ... or your friend could use it at another time that works best for them.

If you have made a theme park reservation for that ticket, while not required, it would pay some magic forward to cancel it ahead of time. Reservations are limited and subject to availability. You may be sending some pixie dust someone's way by releasing it! To cancel, just head into your Disneyland Mobile App to the three-bar menu in the bottom right-hand corner. Select "Future Plans" and scroll to the day you would like to cancel. On the next screen, you will be able to select the Guest(s) who will not be able to attend and continue the prompts from there! With a few taps of your magic wand, you have likely made someone's day!

While you are traveling from Arizona, you might want to give a listen to the latest planDisney Podcast episodes to get excited about all the magic in store for you! Episode 2 in particular is ALL about the Disneyland Nighttime Spectaculars, including some very good tips on the best viewing spots! You'll also want to check out the Entertainment Schedule to plan our your Disneyland nights! There is so much magic in the air between Fantasmic!, World of Color, the Main Street Electrical Parade, and Disneyland Forever fireworks, it may be hard to choose!

Nathalia, I hope you got some helpful info during your stop here at planDisney! If you have any more questions, come back to see us!

    Keep wishing on those stars,
    Tara
