Hi there, Amy! Welcome to planDisney! With the magic only a few days away, I know you must be excited to get all of your plans in place.
It sounds like you purchased a Disneyland Resort Vacation Package at a
Good Neighbor Hotel with either One Park Per Day or Park Hopper Tickets. I hope I got that right! As part of the return to the magic, all Guests are required to have a theme park reservation in addition to a valid theme park ticket to enter the parks. As you have discovered, reservations are limited and subject to availability, but don't lose faith! Guests are constantly changing, canceling, and modifying their plans, so add a little trust and pixie dust in the mix, and reservations may become available! Guests with reservations will need to cancel them by 11:59 p.m. PST the evening before, so I would continue to check the
theme park reservation calendar for any openings.
I know you were likely hoping to have all your days planned out ahead of your arrival in just a few days, but the beauty of the Disneyland Resort is that there is magic around every corner. I often find it most in the slower, quieter moments when I can really let the spectacle of it all sink in. If you do find yourself with a down day, there is still so much to do with that extra touch of Disney magic.
Downtown Disney District is filled with fun shops to explore and delicious eateries. No Disneyland visit is complete without some time spent in
World of Disney if you're looking for special souvenirs and keepsakes. One of my favorite shops is
WonderGround Gallery where you can find incredible artwork and whimsical interpretations of your favorite characters and attractions. A little something to take home with you to remind you of all the forever memories you've made!
You also might like exploring some of the
Disneyland Resort Hotels. Anyone is welcome to enjoy the lobbies, shopping, and dining options available at any of these hotels. The lobby at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is a must-see! And as part of the
Celebrate Soulfully festivities to honor Black History Month, grab a seat and listen to some inspiring live jazz music in this beautiful space. If you head over to the
Disneyland Hotel, there is nothing more quintessentially Disney than a stop at
Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar. If Trader Sam is booked, I also love dining alfresco with quick service from
Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill and enjoying the view of the one-of-a-kind Monorail-inspired pool. Don't forget to pop into the lobby for a photo opportunity in the cutest teacup chairs you ever did see!
Amy, no matter how you spend your days, the magic is sure to find you. If you have any other questions, stop back to see us! We are always here for you at
planDisney.
Keep wishing on those stars!
Tara
