Hi there, I bought a ticket for my mom to go with my family to Disneyland, but I put the ticket under my husband’s name. How can I change the name on the ticket?

Greetings, Yanelys! I'm so glad you brought your question to planDisney!

There is nothing better than a family trip to the Disneyland Resort. My family, including my parents, often go to Disneyland together and they are some of the happiest memories that we make. I know you and your family will have a wonderful trip!

I have good news, Yanelys! If you purchased a standard theme park ticket, there is no need to change the name on the ticket before your visit. Assigning a name to the ticket is for you to be able to tell the difference between multiple tickets linked in the Disneyland Mobile App. The ticket will be linked to your mom the first time she scans in at one of the park entrances. At that time, a Cast Member will take a photo of her and the ticket will officially be linked to her!

If you would still feel more comfortable updating the name on the ticket before your visit, you may call Ticket Services or use the chat function in the Disneyland app or on the website to connect with a Cast Member. Please note that you must use the Disney account associated with the purchase of the ticket to request the name change.

Yanelys, have you checked out all of the awesome events happening at the Disneyland Resort in 2024? Head over to the Disney Parks Blog and follow @DisneyParks on Instagram to get the most up-to-date information on what's happening at the Resort!

I hope this information helps, Yanelys. Please visit us again soon with any other planning questions!

    See ya real soon,
