Hi, Bonnie! We sincerely thank you for taking the time to send in your question to planDisney. Get ready to buckle up for a ride on Disneyland's Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar- it might even be crazier than Space Mountain!
Now it's even easier to plan your visit to the Disneyland Resort;
buying tickets to
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park and booking park passes are done in a single transaction. If you purchased your ticket directly through the Disneyland website, then you have already made your theme park reservation. However, guests who get tickets from a third-party broker (or through the military) will need to utilize the
Reservation System to reserve their dates.
The
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar is a dynamic snapshot of that moment's current availability, meaning it is constantly changing. Cancellations often happen and open available spots (Magic Key holders usually try to cancel if they decide not to use their reservation on a given date). The trick is to be in the right place at the right time. I advise keeping the calendar tab open on your computer or smartphone and refreshing it multiple times a day. While there is never a guarantee this method will work, I know many people who have experienced success.
Something else to keep in mind is that different types of ticket holders are being admitted to the park on any given date. For example, while the calendar may not show availability for guests with a 1-Park per day Ticket, you may see openings for ticket holders staying at one of the three
Disneyland Resort Hotels. Even if you are a local, you may want to consider splurging on a one-night stay on either May 12 or 13 to ensure you can get a theme park reservation. Call the Hotel Reservation phone line at (714) 956-6425 if you need assistance.
I'm sending some pixie dust your way, Bonnie so that it all works out for you! Enjoy your day with your family, and we'll see ya real soon!
