Hi I bought a ticket for my husband Rick. He now says that if my daughter in law wants to go she can use the ticket instead. Is that possible?

To all who come to planDisney, welcome! Thanks for dropping by with your question, Carrie. My, oh my, a visit to the Disneyland Resort is rapidly approaching and I'm delighted to help make sure you are settled with your theme park tickets.

When it comes to the name on your theme park ticket, we say "Hakuna Matata!" It means no worries and there are no worries about giving your husband's ticket to your daughter-in-law. The names are most helpful when organizing and keeping track of multiple tickets in the Disneyland app. Upon entering the theme park, a Cast Member will take a picture of the Guest using the ticket which will then serve as the ticket holder's ID for the remainder of the visit. I once purchased a ticket for my husband and forgot to change the name on the ticket to his and we had no issues with him using it during our visit.

There are so many wonderful events lined up at the Disneyland Resort in 2024. Lucky you, the Lunar New Year Celebration will be in full swing during your visit. I can't wait to enjoy the festivities during my next visit. I think I'm most excited to sample all of the Asian-inspired eats at the Lunar New Year Marketplaces. Make sure to head back toward Paradise Gardens to add your wish to the Lunar New Year Wishing Wall.

I hope this helps put your mind at ease, Carrie. Let us know if we can help with any other questions you might be curious about. Here's wishing you a magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
