i bought a ticket for a friend and they want to change the date but the costs for new dates are higher. how does she change her reservation and pay the difference?

Hi there, Irene. Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for swinging by with your question for us.

To upgrade to a higher tier for a one-day park ticket, your friend will have to head to a Disneyland Resort Main Entrance ticket booth. There, a friendly Cast Member will gladly assist your friend in upgrading her tickets. She’ll pay the difference in value between the two tiers. Once completed, she can then make her theme park reservation for the new date she intends to visit. If you purchased a multi-day park ticket for your friend, however, the tiers do not matter.

For the latest park news, please be sure to visit Disney Parks Blog and Disneyland.com so you don’t miss a beat. If you have more trip-planning questions, feel free to write us again. We’re all EARS!

    See ya real soon,

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
