I bought ticket to Disneyland park but would like to see the Lunar New Year activities. Do I need a separate ticket to DCA for that?

Hi there, Lesley! Thanks for visiting planDisney and happy Year of the Dragon!

The Lunar New Year celebration is one of my favorite events of the year at Disney California Adventure Park. There are so many fantastic things to experience - from the Lunar New Year Wishing Wall in Paradise Gardens to Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession. It's an event not to be missed!

Lesley, the Lunar New Year Celebration is included in the cost of park admission to Disney California Adventure Park so, if you would like to see the festivities, you would need to add the Park Hopper option to your current admission ticket or have an admission ticket with a Disney California Adventure Park reservation. Please note that a park reservation and valid admission (either a Magic Key or admission ticket) are required for entry.

If you can adjust your ticket, I highly recommend the great photo opportunities with Mulan, Mushu, Mickey, and friends in Paradise Gardens in their Lunar New Year's finest attire. There are also six great festival marketplaces with Asian-inspired bites that should not be missed! The Sip & Savor Pass, which is an additional cost, is a great way to find your new favorite dish. The Raspberry Oat Milk Tea from the "Wrapped In Love" Marketplace was my personal favorite this year!

Wishing you a prosperous and joyous new year, Lesley. Thanks again for stopping by! Please visit us again with any other planning questions.
