Hey there, Lynne!
Welcome to
planDisney, and thanks for asking us your question about the
Disneyland Resort. I’m sorry to hear you're no longer able to visit on the day you had planned, but don’t worry-- I can help get your pixie-dusted plans in order!
Yes, as long as it is not expired, you should be able to use your
theme park ticket on a different day by modifying your
theme park reservation to a new date. You don’t have to pick a new date right away, but you should cancel the reservation you can no longer use as soon as possible. Please be aware that if you have a 1-Day ticket, you may need to first upgrade your theme park ticket to a higher tier to use it on the day of your choice. This is because the prices of 1-Day tickets at the Disneyland Resort are date-based. If necessary, you should be able to upgrade your ticket before your visit by calling (714) 781-4636 for assistance.
If you have a multi-day ticket or you plan to visit on another valid day within your existing 1-Day ticket tier, you can change your theme park reservation to a new day using the
Disneyland mobile app as soon as you’re ready. Select “Park Reservations” under the “Plan My Next Visit” heading. Choose the “Make or Modify Park Reservations” link to switch to a new date and select the theme park you’ll be visiting (or your starting theme park if the
Park Hopper option is added to your ticket). Once the process is complete, you’ll receive a reservation confirmation number and an email containing all the details of your plans.
I hope this is helpful, Lynne, and that your trip to The Happiest Place on Earth is filled with many pixie-dusted moments! Please
stop by again to ask any other questions you may have.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
