Hi, I bought a ticket to Disneyland in California, but I am thinking of canceling. Will I be able to get a refund?

Hey there, Collette! Welcome to planDisney. While I am sorry to hear you may need to change your plans for your visit to the Disneyland Resort, I am glad you stopped by with your question.

I am sorry to share that Disneyland Resort theme park tickets are nonrefundable. I know that can add extra disappointment on top of changing plans, but I am happy to walk you through the options you do have.

One-day tickets purchased through the Disneyland website or the Disneyland Mobile App today are valid through December 30, 2027. Multi-day tickets purchased through the Disneyland website or the Disneyland App today must be used by January 12, 2028. Hopefully, that gives you plenty of flexibility to move your visit to a later date that works better for you.

If you already have a theme park reservation, you can easily reschedule it by signing into your Disneyland account, selecting "My Theme Park Reservations," and modifying your reservation to a new available date. Just keep in mind that reservations are subject to availability, so I recommend modifying it as soon as you finalize your plans for a new date.

If it looks like you will not be able to visit before the ticket expiration dates above, there is some good news. Unless otherwise stated, the value of a wholly unused and expired Disneyland Resort theme park ticket, excluding special event tickets, may be applied toward the purchase of a new theme park ticket at the current price, as long as the new ticket's purchase price is equal to or greater than the amount paid for the original ticket. That means you do not lose the value of your original ticket and can put it toward a future Disneyland adventure.

Collette, I hope you are able to start a new magical countdown before long! If you have any additional questions or would like help planning your future visit, please come see us again.

Hope to see you real soon!
