We bought a three day pass for the 24th, 25th and 26th of September. We were just notified that one of those days is an Oogie boogie day. My question is, can we still enter the park In the morning and stay until closing like normal or will have to leave?

    Hi, Heathet!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for stopping in to ask us a question as you prepare for your vacation. I’m glad you’ll be visiting during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort this fall. There will be so much limited-time magic that is sure to make your days at the Happiest Place on Earth especially spooktacular!

Yes, due to Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party, Disney California Adventure Park will close to the general public at 6:00 p.m. on September 24 and 26, 2024. Guests who have not purchased a ticket for the event will be kindly asked to leave the park beginning at that time when checkpoints for wristbands are set up at various locations in the park. If you’re not wearing a wristband that indicates you have a ticket for the party, you’ll be directed toward the park exit. Wristband checks often occur throughout the night at the attractions, treat trails, and near the entrances of each land.

Having to leave the park earlier than you planned might be less-than-magical news, but if you have the Park Hopper option added to your theme park tickets, you will be welcome to head over to Disneyland Park when Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party gets underway. It will remain open until the regularly-scheduled closing time.

If you don’t plan to park hop, you can explore the Downtown Disney District or even head over to one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels to shop or enjoy a tasty meal. If fireworks are offered that evening, you should be able to view some of them and even enjoy the show’s accompanying music from the Esplanade between the entrances to the theme parks.

I hope this information is helpful, Heathet, and that your Disneyland Resort vacation is filled with many pixie-dusted moments! Please feel free to write back with more questions as your trip approaches.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
