Hello there, Michael, and welcome to planDisney! I'm thrilled to hear you have an upcoming trip to the Disneyland Resort!
Currently, you need to purchase
theme park tickets and
make theme park reservations to visit the parks of the Disneyland Resort. For theme park tickets, I typically recommend purchasing them through Disneyland.com. You can select single or multi-day tickets, as well as one park or Park Hopper tickets, which allow you to access both parks after 11:00 AM on the days of your visit.
You also need to make theme park reservations for each day of your trip. This process doesn't cost anything, but you do need to have purchased valid theme park tickets to actually make the reservation. If you purchase your theme park tickets through Disneyland.com, then you will make theme park reservations as part of the purchase process. Two separate actions (purchase tickets & make reservations), one easy process!
Did you make your purchase on the Disneyland website? Since you don't need to pay to make theme park reservations, it sounds like you might already be all set. However, let's double-check! My recommendation would be to check the email inbox tied to your Disneyland.com account - you can search for "Disneyland Confirmation." You should see an email showing your ticket purchase confirmation, which will include your Ticket Confirmation Number. You should also see a separate email that shows your "Disneyland Theme Park Reservation Confirmation" and includes a Confirmation Number for that.
With both your purchase of valid theme park tickets and theme park reservations confirmed, all that is left is to enjoy your trip! I'm hoping you're visiting soon as currently, the Disneyland Resort is in the midst of the
Disney100 celebration! One of my favorite parts of the celebration is the
"Magic Happens" Parade. It's a lot of fun!
Thank you again for your question, Michael! As you continue to plan your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth, feel free to come back to see us here at planDisney with any follow-up questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
