Hey there Michelle! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I'm so excited that you'll be headed to sold-out Sweethearts' Nite soon - AND California Adventure! Sounds like the most perfect day.
So, the short answer to your question is, yes, if you have a
valid park ticket and reservation for that date, you absolutely can spend the day celebrating
Lunar New Year (my favorite!) in California Adventure before heading over to celebrate love at Sweethearts' Nite.
Sweethearts' Nite is a separately ticketed event which includes exclusive access to Disneyland Park, unique character meet and greets, shorter waits for attractions, event-night-only sweet and savory treats, and themed entertainment including a Royal Cavalcade along Main Street, U.S.A. and Royal Ball in Fantasyland Theater. It's going to be a very special night!
Remember, with a ticket to Sweethearts' Nite (or any
Disneyland After Dark event) Guests are allowed to enter the park (in this case, Disneyland) 3 hours before the party begins, without a reservation. So, Michelle, my advice would be, after an early dinner at California Adventure (let the
Lunar New Year Foodie Guide be your guide), cross over the Esplanade to get in line for Disneyland Park by 5:30pm. Then, use that early, "mix in" time to take pictures, ride an attraction or two and maybe, just maybe, enjoy a sweet treat, before the party officially begins at 9pm.
Keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog in the coming weeks, as the Foodie Guide for Sweethearts' Nite should be released very soon!
You're going to have the most magical visit, Michelle - I just know it! And, if any other questions come up in your planning, don't hesitate to
reach out again! We'd
love it.
L'Amour,
McCayla
