Amber from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I bought special event tickets for January 22nd and only recently found out that the Star Wars Rise of The Resistance is unavailable. Will this be available soon or am I able to reschedule my tickets for a different date because I was unaware of this.

Galactic greetings, Amber. Thanks for cruising by planDisney on your way to the Happiest Place on Earth. This IS the place you are looking for!

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is my oldest child's favorite ride, so I understand wanting to experience this amazing attraction. Based on the Hours & Events Calendar, the ride will close for refurbishment beginning January 20, 2026. The calendar only extends through January at the moment, so it's hard to say when the ride will reopen. However, the good news is that you can change your theme park reservation if riding Rise of the Resistance is a top priority.

Amber, to modify your theme park reservation, head to the Disneyland website and find the "My Disneyland" tab at the top right of the home screen. Click on "My Plans" in the drop-down menu and find the ticket you would like to modify. Click on the blue "Manage Reservation" button, and it'll take you to a list of all theme park reservations linked to your MyDisney account. Click on "Modify Reservation" next to the reservation you want to modify and follow the instructions on the following pages to switch your park reservation. You can modify your reservation anytime until your pass or ticket's expiration; however, I recommend doing so well in advance, as park reservations are often fully booked a couple of weeks ahead of time.

For the most up-to-date information on events and experiences at the Disneyland Resort, be sure to check out the Disney Parks Blog and follow Disneyland on Instagram.

I hope this information helps, Amber. Please visit again with any other questions!

May the Force be with you,
    Melissa
