I just bought my sister and I passes for the first time in a while. I remember before Covid they gave out physical pass cards, are we able to get physical cards or is it all in the app now?

    Hello, Mikayla!

Thank you for sending your question to planDisney. I am happy to welcome you and your sister to the Magic Key family! Having a Magic Key pass makes planning last-minute trips to Disneyland Resort easy, which is always a plus! Just check the blockout dates for your pass and make a park reservation before heading to the parks.

I have many expired Disneyland Annual Pass cards sitting in a drawer somewhere, so I can understand your interest in getting a physical card. The Magic Key program is primarily digitally based, and passes can be accessed on the Disneyland mobile app. However, Guests can usually request a paper Pass (for a fee) by visiting a ticket booth at the main entrance of the Disneyland Resort. Although I initially missed the physical Passes, I now love being able to quickly and easily access my Magic Key on the app. I don't need to remember to bring a Pass to the parks, and I also won't lose it (well, as long as I don't misplace my phone!). Plus, applicable Magic Key discounts should be automatically applied to Disney Genie+ and mobile order purchases! Check out the Magic Key discount page to see which deals apply to your Pass.

Have you considered celebrating your new Magic Keys by making dining reservations at the Magic Key terrace, the exclusive restaurant for Magic Key holders and their Guests? My family likes to order a few different items to share, such as the San Fransokyo Short Rib and the Bountiful Valley Charcuterie. I recommend keeping the Silly Symphonies Churro Sandwich all to yourself if it is still available during your visit. It is delicious!

Mikayla, enjoy your first trip to Disneyland Resort as a Magic Key holder! We hope to see you real soon!
