I bought a reservation for my husband to make a lightsaber and put my name as the guest. It didn't ask the builder's name and when I check the reservation status it says that it's a party of one. Will we both be able to get in?

     Bright suns, Britnee!

Don’t worry! You may have done a great service to the Resistance by inserting what could be considered a diversion. The First Order won’t know where to look now. And, in the end, the Gatherers at Savi's Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers will certainly be able to sort things out when you arrive to check in at the appointed time.

Both you and your husband will certainly be able to enter the mystical realm of the Gatherers and experience the privilege of creating a lightsaber. If you choose to switch positions at the last minute and have your husband act as the builder and you as the observer, you will be able to do so. As long as you adhere to the strict rule of having only one builder per reservation and no more than two additional Guests observing, your existing reservation will be adequate for your visit to Savi's Workshop.

If you still feel strongly that you would like to correct this mix-up, you may choose to do so as well. Admittedly, the online reservation system is set up in a confusing way. The main Savi's Workshop page mentions a builder and up to two Guests. But then the reservation form asks for the name of just one “Guest.” What is really meant by that one Guest name is the name of the primary Guest of the Gatherers, in other words, the builder. The names of the additional Guests who may accompany the builders are not required in the reservation.

To make the adjustments you desire, I would recommend trying to make an additional reservation, using the preferred name for the builder. Then you can cancel the previous reservation without penalty as long as you cancel at least one day prior to your reservation. Should you find that additional reservations are not available for the time you prefer, you may need to cancel your existing reservation first. If you are worried about losing your reservation altogether, you may wish to contact the Disneyland Resort Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge experiences reservation line at (714) 300-7805 to have things sorted out.

Tony’s Tip: When placing a reservation at Savi's Workshop, a credit card is required. That credit card is only needed to secure your reservation. The actual payment for the experience is not made until you arrive at the Black Spire Outpost to check in for your reservation. You may choose to use the same credit card or a different form of payment at that time. For your convenience, the Gatherers accept various forms of payment, including cash from our own planet, major credit cards, Disney Gift Cards, and even a Batuuan Spira.

May the Force be with you on your journey to Batuu, Britnee!
