I bought a regular Disney pass for one day. One theme park and because of Covid I was not able to use it at All do I get a refund or are the tickets extended?

Welcome to planDisney, Owen. Thanks for taking the time to stop by with your question for us.

I still can’t believe it has been almost a year since the pandemic hit, completely changed our lives, and forced Disneyland Resort theme parks and hotels (among countless other businesses) to close. These have been trying times and we all can use some Disney magic.

I’m sorry to hear you were unable to enjoy your trip to the Disneyland Resort last year due to the pandemic. I’m happy to report that your non-promotional one-day ticket that you purchased last year will now have an expiration date of December 16, 2021. I’m crossing my fingers and toes that Disneyland Resort theme parks will be safely reopened by then! If you’re unable to visit Disneyland Resort theme parks after your ticket expires, Hakuna Matata! While Disneyland Resort is not offering refunds for previously purchased tickets, you’ll be able to apply the amount you paid for your wholly unused, expired Disneyland Resort theme park ticket towards the purchase of a new theme park admission ticket at the current price (according to Disney’s eTicket Terms and Conditions, unless otherwise stated).  The new ticket price just needs to be equal to or greater than the amount paid for the original ticket. When you’re ready to visit the Disneyland Resort theme parks after they reopen, simply head to a Main Entrance ticket booth and a Cast Member will gladly assist you in applying your eligible ticket amount towards a new ticket purchase.

Owen, if you’d like to speak directly with a Cast Member, please contact Ticket Services at (714) 781-4636.

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
