I bought an after 5 pm ticket. Can I upgrade it to a full day ticket

Magical greetings, Jody, and welcome back to planDisney! I see your trip is upon us, so let's get right to it!

I'm not exactly sure what type of ticket you hold since Walt Disney World tickets valid after 5 PM aren't currently offered. That being said, I have a few ideas around what ticket type you could have, and I'm happy to provide some information that might be helpful depending on which one is yours.

It could be a ticket associated with a conference you're attending at Walt Disney World. These ticket types are only available through the organizer of your conference, so I recommend reaching out to the organizer with any questions about your ticket. You could also contact Disney Meetings & Events to see if they can provide more details.

Another possibility is that perhaps you're holding a Disney After Hours ticket. After Hours events are held on select nights throughout the year at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Your event ticket typically allows for admission into the park beginning at 7 PM. Or maybe you have a ticket to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which includes admission to Magic Kingdom beginning at 4 PM. Both of these event ticket types are non-refundable and non-transferrable. You can always reach out to Guest Services, however, for more information.

One more idea that came to mind is that you might have taken advantage of the After 5 PM tickets that were sold for a limited time at Disneyland Resort in California. Often, you can upgrade a ticket type and pay the difference, but what makes this a bit trickier is that the offer expired in early August, so if this is what you have, I'm worried it might no longer be valid. In this case, I recommend reaching out to Guest Services at Disneyland to see if they can provide any additional insight.

Jody, I know this probably isn't the answer you were hoping to receive, yet I bet magic will be restored once you get into a park and start enjoying your day. In any case, I hope this has been helpful to you and that you have a fantastic trip! If I've completely missed the mark here, please pay me another visit with any additional details you can provide, and I'll be happy to try again.

    Grab hold of your dreams!
