Hello there, Erin, and welcome to the Walt Disney World Annual Passholder family. I've been a passholder for years now, and I can truly say it is well worth the initial investment.
Erin, right now, you are seeing an expiration date that is one year from the date that you purchased your new
Walt Disney World Annual Pass and that's normal. You have one year from that date to activate your new pass. Once you enter a Walt Disney World Theme Park for the first time with that annual pass, you will have officially activated it and you will see a new expiration date applied to your pass in your
MyDisneyExperience account. So when you visit next January, that will officially activate your Walt Disney World Annual Pass and then you'll have one year from that date to enjoy all of the magic your heart desires! If for some reason you don't activate your new Walt Disney World Annual Pass in that year timeframe, you can apply the value of that unused annual pass toward a new one. If the price increases on the annual passes, you will only need to pay that upgraded charge.
Erin, I can't think of a better way to kick off a new year than a trip to Walt Disney World. You are going to have so much fun. You'll be visiting over the 50th-anniversary celebration and there are so many new and exciting things to check out. One of my favorite new offerings is the firework show,
Harmonious, at Epcot. The music is upbeat and fun, the water projections are so innovative and I love all of the fireworks. I hope you've scheduled some time in your itinerary to visit Epcot and check it out, you won't regret it!
If you have any other questions about the Walt Disney World Annual Pass program, Erin, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help! Have fun and happy planning!
