Hi, I bought a pass in 2020. But I live in Canada and haven’t been able to travel. The pass says on it that it expires in January 2021. But we weren’t allowed to cross the border. We are now planning to come w this summer and hoping we can use that pass?

Hiya, Devon! So happy to have you here at planDisney! We just love helping our fellow Guests plan their visits to the Happiest Place on Earth. I bet you can't wait to return to all the sights and sounds of Main Street, U.S.A., experience some favorite (and new!) attractions, grab some of that famous Disneyland popcorn, and end your days watching the skies light up with magic!

Let's take a look at your ticket question so we can get all your ducks in a row for your visit. While expiration dates for tickets purchased in 2020 have now passed, Tinker Bell has left you with a trail of pixie dust to follow back to the parks. You are always able to apply the original value of an expired ticket towards the purchase of a new one! Just give our Guest Services team a call and they will be happy to point you to the second star to the right so you can be off to Neverland ... I mean, Disneyland!

One thing to note that has changed since your last visit is that all Guests are required to have both a valid theme park ticket as well as a theme park reservation to enter the parks. This is in place to help maintain the health and safety of all Guest and Cast Members by informing how many visitors will be in the parks each day. Once you have linked your new tickets to your account, just open up the Disneyland Mobile App and tap the "+" in the bottom navigation bar and select "Make a Park Reservation." You can make reservations up to 120 days in advance and can actually peek at the theme park reservation calendar ahead of time to see if your dates are available. Reservations can be canceled and rescheduled so the availability in the calendar can fluctuate.

I love a late summer visit to the Disneyland Resort! The sun is shining bright and the local schools are just heading back into session so the crowds start to lighten a bit. When you need a break from the heat, one of my favorite spots to recharge is the Animation Academy in Disney California Adventure Park. Learn to draw a favorite character with a Disney animator, explore Beast's Library, or even experience Turtle Talk with Crush from Finding Nemo. Admittedly, I had bypassed the Animation Academy on many visits before I stepped inside! Even just sitting in the lobby watching video clips of the animation process on oversized screens with the sweeping emotion of Disney music playing in the background is quite the experience!

Devon, if you have any more questions, we are always here for you at planDisney

    Magic awaits!
