I bought my park tickets at AAA. Do I have to also buy a Magic Band or can I just use the cards for park admission and the app for FP+? We are staying off-site so we don't need to open doors or charge purchases to the room.

    Hi, Christi!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for visiting us with your great question. I hope you’re looking forward to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation—it’s just around the corner!

While guests like you who are not staying on property at a Disney-owned resort may purchase MagicBands if they wish (the cost is currently $12.95 plus tax each), it’s not a requirement. You can certainly use your actual theme park tickets for entry and the My Disney Experience app to make or adjust your FastPass+ selections.

I hope this helps, Christi. Please feel free ask us more questions as your planning continues!

    Wishing you magic,
