Hey there, Julie! I'm so glad you've stopped by to talk about park hopping for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation.
Park hopping is my absolute favorite way to spend a Disney day and I think you are going to love it too!
Right, now, park hopping is looking a little bit different than it did before. But, no worries because it sounds to me like you are doing everything right! Currently, Guests wishing to park hop must have standard theme park admission with the park hopper option linked to their
MyDisneyExperience account - which again it sounds like you do. Next, to park hop, Guests must make park pass reservations for the initial
Walt Disney World Theme Park they plan on visiting each day of their vacation. Only one park pass reservation is needed per day, in fact, the system will not let you hold two on the same day which you have tried to do. On the day of, you must scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservations first before continuing on to other theme parks later in the day. This sort of "activates" the park hopper option each day. Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evening. After you've entered the theme park with your park pass reservation and it's after 2:00 p.m. you are able to park hop to any or all of the other Walt Disney World Theme Parks that you'd like.
Park hopping is so much fun. I love visiting Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Hollywood Studios or Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park in the morning and then hopping over to Epcot for the evening hours. I really enjoy snacking and sipping around The World Showcase for dinner most nights. It's such a fun way to spend the day.
I hope this helps clear up any confusion you might have had about park hopping, Julie. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help. Have a great day!
