Hey there, Leah. I'm so glad you've stopped by to chat about park hopping on your next Walt Disney World vacation in only a few short days. I bet you are getting so excited!
Leah,
park hopping is my very favorite way to spend a Disney day. I love visiting the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks during the early morning hours to cross off most of my must-do's before the park tends to fill up for the day. Then in the afternoon, I love sitting poolside at the Walt Disney World Resort Hotel that I happen to be staying at. Then, for the evening, you can often find me at Epcot eating and drinking around the World Showcase for dinner.
I've park hopped every single time I've gone to Walt Disney World this year and I visit about once a month. Only one time when I've been there, on October 1st which was the start of the 50th celebration, was park hopping over to Magic Kingdom Park temporarily suspended. Since you aren't visiting over an actual holiday or special occasion, I honestly think you'll be just fine. If it were me, I would leave your plan as-is. Like I said before, this entire year I've only seen park-hopping restricted one time.
If you were to change your plan Leah, you'd have to visit
Magic Kingdom Park sometime before going over to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. so that would leave you the rest of the afternoon and evening to explore
Disney's Hollywood Studios. Depending on what you would like to do at that theme park it is definitely possible but you will have to wait in longer lines than you would if you got there right when it opened in the morning.
Leah, my vote is to leave your plan exactly the way you have it. I certainly don't foresee any problems with you hopping over to Magic Kingdom Park later in the day for the evening and fireworks. I hope this helps ease your mind. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Have fun and happy hopping!
