Hey there, Lori! Thanks for stopping by
planDisney to chit-chat with me about your
Walt Disney World vacation later this year.
It sounds like your vacation planning is off to a wonderful start. Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets - check! Park pass reservations - check! However, it is totally cool to want to switch around your park pass reservations. Walt Disney World knows that oftentimes itineraries can change due to park hours or dining reservations.
Lori, the
MyDisneyExperience mobile app doesn't really allow for modifying park pass reservations. To do this, let's use a computer and log in to your
MyDisneyExperience account. Next, you are going to want to scroll down to the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section and look for that specific park pass reservation. On the right-hand side of the screen, you'll see the option to "View Details" and you'll want to select that. Now here is where it is hit or miss. Sometimes I have the option to "Modify" the park pass reservation and sometimes I only have the option to "Cancel" and I don't know why the options switch back and forth from time to time. If you see the modify option from here you can change your park pass reservation around to Disney's Hollywood Studios. If you are only seeing the option to cancel your park pass reservation then you'll need to go ahead and cancel that one out and then head back over to the park pass reservation website and start the process over to select Disney's Hollywood Studios as your main park for the day. Before you cancel though, I highly encourage you to take a look at the
Walt Disney World Theme Park availability calendar to make sure that the theme park you are wanting to switch to has availability before you drop your existing park pass reservation. This far out you should be totally fine but you never know so it is best to check!
Park hopping is my favorite way to spend a Disney day, Lori, and I think you are going to love it too. Park hopping does look a little bit different than it used to. To park hop, you'll need valid theme park admission with the park hopper option and park pass reservations. On the day of, you'll need to scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation first. This sort of "activates" your park hopper feature each day. You won't need to make additional park pass reservations. Just your first one is required. Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evening. After 2:00 p.m. you can visit 1, 2 or even all 4 of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks.
I hope this helps you get your day all situated, Lori. If you have other questions as you plan, I'd love for you to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help!
Happy planning!
