Hello, Alexandrea! Thanks for stopping by planDisney. Your vacation to the most magical place on earth is quickly approaching, I bet you are getting so excited! June is such a fabulous time to visit, I hope you are planning plenty of pool time.
I'm so glad you've upgraded your theme park tickets to include the
park hopper option. Park hopping is my favorite way to spend a day at Walt Disney World and I am so glad that it finally returned to us at the start of this year. Alexandrea, I wanted to let you know that you are doing everything right. You are not required nor do you need to make multiple park pass reservations for one day. As long as you have your tickets and your initial park pass reservation set for each day of your vacation, you are good to go.
Since its return, park hopping does look a little bit different, here's how it's currently working:
- Guests wishing to park hop must have standard theme park admission with the park hopper option
- Guests wishing to park hop must make a park pass reservation for the first Walt Disney World Theme Park they'd like to visit each day
- On the day of, Guests must scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation first before continuing on to other theme parks throughout the day.
- Park hopping hours are now from 2:00 p.m. until each park closes in the evening
- You are not required to make additional park pass reservations throughout the day to park hop
To make park hopping a little bit easier for Guests right now,
complimentary park-to-park bus transportation is being provided. Around 2:00 p.m. or anytime after you are able to hop a bus from one park to the next. This really cuts down on the travel time right now and you'll be able to fit so much into your park hopping time.
Park hopping is my preferred park touring method. I love waking up early and being at the first theme park of the day right before the park opening. I'm always amazed at how much I can cross off of my must-do list by lunchtime if I get there early. Then, in the afternoon when the parks tend to be a little bit more crowded, I love heading back to the resort hotel I am staying at for an afternoon swim. It's great to have a little reprieve from the Florida sun. After that, typically, you can find me hopping over to Epcot to spend the evening hours snacking and drinking around The World Showcase. It's a great way to spend a Disney day!
I hope this helps clear up any confusion you had regarding park hopping. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to come back and
ask me. Have fun!
