MagicBand+, you’ll unlock even more convenience and fun during your visit. These handy accessories are a convenient way to assist with entering the theme parks, accessing Lightning Lane entrances, making purchases, and even unlocking your
Disney Resort hotel room. Plus, the interactive features of MagicBand+ add an extra layer of engagement, from light-up effects during nighttime shows to interactions with Disney’s character statues.
Unfortunately, once a MagicBand or MagicBand+ has been linked to a specific My Disney Experience account, it cannot be reassigned to another Guest. However, I’ve heard of rare occasions when a friendly Cast Member at the
My Disney Experience, MagicBand and MagicBand+ Help Center has been able to assist with bands that have been activated but not yet used in the parks. While there’s no guarantee, it’s certainly worth a try!
While this mix-up may not be the ideal start to your MagicBand+ experience, let’s look on the bright side! This is the perfect excuse to expand your collection, you can pick up additional bands to coordinate with your outfits for each park day. (Between us, my wife has conveniently "mistakenly assigned" bands before, and I have a sneaking suspicion it might have been her plan all along!) If you decide to shop for new MagicBands, there are some great spots to explore. At Disney Springs, stop by
Disney's Pin Traders, which has a fantastic selection of designs. Over in EPCOT,
Pin Traders – Camera Center is another must-visit for unique styles. And if you’re visiting Magic Kingdom, the
Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A. is the perfect place to browse a variety of options.
