Once a MagicBand has been assigned in My Disney Experience to a specific Guest, it cannot be reassigned to another person. MagicBands are linked to a Guest's profile, and for privacy and security reasons, they cannot be transferred.
As Timon and Pumbaa say, "Hakuna Matata!" (no worries). I recently traveled with some family members who did not have their own MagicBands. They used the
Disney MagicMobile Service through the
My Disney Experience app instead. This feature stored their theme park tickets,
Lightning Lane reservations, and restaurant reservations right on their phone. Another option available is to request a "Key to the World" physical plastic card. This card can be requested from your Disney Resort hotel or at the entrance of the theme parks.
If you and your travel party will be staying at a Disney Resort hotel, they also have the option of purchasing their own MagicBand+ at a pre-arrival discount, or they can purchase these bands at
disneystore.com or on property when you arrive.
