I bought a magic pass about a year ago. I don’t know if I linked it. If I did not can my adult married daughter link it to her name?

    Hi Patricia! Welcome to planDisney!

You have come to the perfect place to get an answer to your Walt Disney World question! With all of the clever names that Disney uses to describe its products and experiences, I'll do my best to point you in the right direction with this answer. I've even enlisted some of my fellow planDisney panelists for their advice, so you are in good hands!

If you are referring to the purchase of a MagicBand, there will be a few factors to determine if your daughter can now use it. If you bought a generic MagicBand and never linked it to your account, then she will be able to link it to her My Disney Experience account using the special ID code on the back of the band. If you bought this band before a Walt Disney World trip and it has your name on the back of it, there is a great chance that it has already been linked to your account and is unable to be transferred to anyone else. You'll be able to check if this band is linked by logging on to your account and selecting "My MagicBands and Cards". This will take you to a complete list of the bands linked to each Guest on your account.

If you are referring to a park ticket that may have used the name "magic pass", then there will be some determining factors here as well. If this is a multi-day pass and has already been linked and used for one day, then this ticket is non-transferable and most likely expired at this point. If the ticket has not been used at all, your daughter should be able to put the value of this ticket toward a future ticket purchase. I would suggest calling the Existing Ticket line and speaking to a Cast Member for assistance. They will be happy to help you out in any way possible.

Patricia, whether you or your daughter are planning to visit the Walt Disney World Resort in the coming months, I suggest you do so before the 50th Anniversary Celebration comes to a close. It started in October 2021 and is planned to last for 18 months to allow all Guests a chance to be part of the celebration! There have been some new attractions and experiences that have debuted and many more are on the horizon!

Patricia, I hope to see you real soon!
